Gov. Rick Scott Announces U.S. Senate Campaign Leadership Team

TAMPA, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott announced Tuesday his leadership team for his U.S. Senate campaign.

Jackie Schutz Zeckman will serve as Campaign Manager, Ryan Patmintra as Communications Director, Caitlin Collins as Finance Director, Craig Carbone as Political Director, and Leda Williams Kelly as Director of External Affairs.

“I am proud to announce my campaign leadership team today as they join the millions of Floridians from across the state who are ready to show Washington what it means to ‘get to work,’” Governor Scott said. “Kicking off this campaign with an unmatched team of hard working, loyal advisors with years of experience fighting for policies that help families and job creators demonstrate our commitment to winning the U.S. Senate and changing Washington so that it actually works for Floridians.”

Jackie Schutz Zeckman will serve as Campaign Manager and most recently was Governor Rick Scott’s Chief of Staff. Jackie previously served as Scott’s communications director and chief spokesperson from December 2014 through July 2016. She also helped lead communications during Scott’s successful 2014 reelection campaign as deputy communications director. She began working in the Governor’s office in 2011, serving as deputy press secretary, and later as press secretary. Jackie is a graduate of Florida State University and received her master’s degree from the London School of Economics. She is a lifelong Floridian from Pinellas County.

Ryan Patmintra will serve as Communications Director and brings nearly 15 years of national and state level political experience to the campaign. He was most recently the Florida Political Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). Prior to that, he served as U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s Regional Director for West Central Florida. Before moving to Florida, Ryan spent nearly a decade working on Capitol Hill, including serving as the Communications Director for U.S. Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona. He also served as chief spokesman for the House Homeland Security Committee shortly after its formation. Ryan is a graduate of James Madison University and lives in Tampa with his wife and two sons.

Caitlin Collins will serve as Finance Director and brings political experience managing ambitious fundraising and finance operations for a range of campaigns, including presidential, gubernatorial, senatorial and congressional races. Caitlin previously worked in Washington D.C. and has spent the past five years on the finance teams for numerous national campaigns. Prior to her time in fundraising, she was part of the political team of multiple statewide campaigns in Pennsylvania and worked for a political and government affairs consulting firm. Caitlin received her bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Craig Carbone will serve as Political Director and most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Scott’s office. Craig has served in various roles since starting with the Governor’s office, including Deputy Policy Director and Director of Appointments. Craig was also part of the Governor’s successful 2014 reelection campaign as South Florida Regional Field Director. Prior to the campaign, Craig worked at the Republican Party of Florida where he worked with field operations since the 2012 election cycle. Craig is a graduate of the University of Miami and received his master’s degree from Florida International University.

Leda Williams Kelly will serve as Director of External Affairs and previously worked at a global management consulting firm since 2016. Prior to that, she served as the Deputy Director of External Affairs for Governor Scott. Leda was also the Director of Operations for Governor Scott’s successful 2014 reelection campaign. Leda began working in the Governor’s Office in 2012 and served as the event lead and liaison for the communications office and external affairs. Previously, she served as the Associate Director of External Affairs for the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa. Prior to moving to Florida, Leda worked with the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Agricultural and Mechanical College.
