Scott for Florida Releases New Television and Digital Ad: Unfair

Nelson Cuts Billions from Medicare; Fails to Protect Program from Bankruptcy

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Rick Scott for Florida campaign unveiled a new television and digital ad, “Unfair,” which highlights Bill Nelson’s failure to stop Washington from unfairly stealing from Medicare and the many Florida seniors that rely on this program.

Bill Nelson voted to cut $716 billion from Medicare and despite being in Congress for decades, he has failed to secure long-term solutions to stabilize Medicare as the program gets closer and closer to bankruptcy.

Rick Scott: I’m Rick Scott and I approve this message.

Narrator: You pay for Medicare your entire career.

Your parents pay into Medicare their entire lives.

But Washington is letting Medicare crumble.

News report: The government says Medicare will become insolvent in the year 2026, three years earlier than expected.

Narrator: Bill Nelson voted to cut $716 billion from Medicare. No wonder it’s going bankrupt.

Nelson and the politicians from Washington are stealing from Medicare to pay for other government programs.

Stealing from Medicare is unfair.
