27 Sep Scott for Florida Releases New Television and Digital Ad: “Leadership”
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Rick Scott for Florida campaign released its latest ad, “Leadership,” highlighting Governor Scott’s role leading hurricane preparation and response efforts as Hurricane Irma impacted the State of Florida last year.
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said, “Governor Scott is the person we need to represent us in the U.S. Senate. He truly cares and takes an active role in each and every one of our communities. During last year‘s active hurricane season, he stayed in constant communication with all sheriffs on the treasure coast and was here in our emergency operation center to make sure we had all the assets that we needed. I have no doubt that when Governor Scott gets to Washington, he will continue to make the safety of Florida families and visitors his first priority.”
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said, “I know I’ll never forget the amazing response from Governor Scott before, during, and after Hurricane Irma. That was a tough storm for us and Governor Scott was with us, in the trenches, and leading from the front. That’s the kind of leadership and compassion we expect from our elected officials. Governor Scott is the real deal.”
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said, “I am proud to endorse Governor Rick Scott, a true leader, for the U.S. Senate. Governor Scott is a problem solver – he responds swiftly in the face of tragedy and never backs down. That’s what we need in Washington – a leader who is not afraid to make the tough decisions it takes to protect our families and visitors.”
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said, “Governor Scott’s top priority is keeping our communities safe. He maintains an open line of communication with local leaders to make sure we have the resources and support we need to be prepared for a storm. Long before a storm ever hits landfall, Governor Scott is out front of it warning Floridians and ensuring Florida families and businesses have a plan. That type of proactive leadership is unprecedented, and I look forward to having Governor Scott looking out for our state in the U.S. Senate.”
Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said, “Governor Scott never backs down from a challenge. He is a man of action. In times of crisis, he always reaches out and has his boots on the ground, and I really appreciate that. Florida families deserve to have a leader like Governor Scott fighting for them at the federal level.”
Amy Mercer, Executive Director of the Florida Police Chiefs Association, said, “Over the past seven and half years, Governor Scott has been the ultimate partner to Florida law enforcement officers. Not only is the crime rate in our state at a 47-year low, Governor Scott faced some of our state’s greatest challenges with unmatched leadership and poise. Washington needs more brave leaders like Governor Scott who aren’t afraid to stand up for what is important – the safety of our families. I’m proud to have worked alongside Governor Scott, and look forward to having him in the U.S. Senate, where he will ensure that Florida not only prospers economically, but is the safest state in the nation.”
