Scott for Florida Unveils Latest Statewide Ad: 46 Years

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Rick Scott for Florida campaign released its latest statewide ad, “46 Years,” which is how long Senator Bill Nelson has been running for public office while failing to accomplish anything notable for Florida. In fact, Senator Nelson has a record of failing to even show up – he has skipped 45 percent of the Senate hearings on national security, including hearings on ISIS, Russia and North Korea. Floridians are ready for a change and ready to retire Senator Nelson, an-talk, no-action career politician who has spent a half century living off the taxpayers to the tune of $4.4 million.

Watch the ad above and see the full script here:

NARRATOR: “46 years as a politician.

“Of political speeches.

“Of broken promises to clean up the environment.

“Of living off the taxpayers.

“46 years of Bill Nelson. And nothing got done.

“No bills. No action. Just talk.

“And now Nelson rarely shows up for work. In the past 18 years, Nelson skipped 45% of the hearings on national security.

“Nelson opposes term limits. So if you support term limits – it’s time for a change. It’s time to retire Nelson.”

GOVERNOR RICK SCOTT: “I’m Rick Scott – I approve this message – let’s get to work!”
